  • A New Room for a New Day!

    My present room:

My room has been pretty much the same since years! Though I would of loved to redecorate it, I just didn't have the money for it and sharing room with a little sister doesn't make the task easy either. As you can see from the pictures above, my room is very childish. When we first moved in, I wanted the walls yellow and my sister wanted pink, thus the disastrous wall color!

Now, things are about to change... My older sister is about to move out with her boyfriend and my little sister is going to take over her room, leaving me with a big room just for myself. I can already savor the joy of redecorating everything! Here are some inspirational pictures I found on lovelyish.com:

The idea is to have a very pale blue for the walls. You could almost say that it's white. My room lets in alot of light from outside, so a pale blue will absorb it well. Wouldn't long, white, sheer drapes go great in the room either?

My inspiration is the afternoon sky, when everything seems to be just a little burnt. I just wanted a room where I could feel relaxed, comfortable, refreshed, but at the same time young and original.

Another idea I had was to cover just one wall with a very light wallpaper like the one you can see on the picture above. It would give some dimension to the room. How about some wallpaper hung behind my large wardrobe? Plus, it gives a little vintage taste.

Actually, I would love my room to have a vintage look! The white iron bed and baskets are winners! All of these things, we can find in bazaars and thrift stores. What do you think? Anyhow, the whole redecorating process may take some time before it even happens! I'll keep you guys updated on that matter!

  • Carla Bruni, Not Your Typical French Singer

Carla Bruni is the artist of the hour! She's also the first lady of France. Although alot of French lefties don't like her because she used to be a supermodel (her commun nickname in France is whore because she dated alot of guys, Eric Clapton included) and because her husband is considered as a righty, when I listen to her music, I feel so uplifted! No promises is her English album. My favorite song from that one is Those Dancing Days Are Gone. But her French songs are just as good. I just wanted to share this amazing artist's work with you. Enjoy!

  • What's your favorite cologne or perfume?

My favorite perfume is definitely Sui Love from Anna Sui. It's fun, lively, sweet and complicated...like me. It's a blend of passion fruit, bergamot, jasmine, tuberose, orange flower, violet, vanilla, ambrette and a touch of soft musk. Somehow, it blends in so divinely! For a nice spring day, it's the perfect thing, but maybe a little strong for a hot summer day. Anyway, I absolutely love Anna Sui! If I had more money, I would buy her clothing... maybe when I'm older!

Another perfume that I adore that is in the same range as Sui Love: Daisy from Marc Jacobs. Urbanoutfitters is going crazy over this perfume. For those who don't know what it is, it's: “happy and youthful”, “sophisticated but not too serious”, it's lighter than Sui Love, but just as sweet!

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

  • Can you speak a foreign language? If not, which one would you want to learn? Why?

I've moved around a lot during my childhood. Since, I've learned how to speak Korean, French and English fluently. I'm also new to Spanish , but I'm terrible at it! All the languages are important, but French is my favorite! It's a language that is more and more neglected around the world because less and less people know it anymore. Even Quebec is struggling to preserve it. Though it isn't the easiest language, it is, in my opinion, the most beautiful one. But there is still a long list of languages I would love to learn...Japanese being one of them!

  • New Day

    n903635323_3019045_8597

Here, in Quebec, the snow has just melted and the trees, despite the never sleeping cold, are starting to bloom into small, green buds... Spring is finally here! These days, I can't stop wondering what kind of tree I am going to grow up to be... A gentle weeping willow, a strong pine tree...or simply a weird, one-of-a-kind mutant tree? High School is almost finished and I'm preparing to fly on my own (finding a new job, searching for love, going to college, building my own voice in this very crowded world). As the Earth is ready for its new spring, I am ready for a New Day. How about you? What are your hopes for the upcoming future?

About Me

  • Everybody's a pearl, trapped in a grey mollusk. How can we all open up and share our charm? Because if there are two things that are wonderful about humans, it is their capacity to love and to create beauty.
